A Public Garden of Maine Native Plants
The four-acre NGBH Garden features over 180 plant species, all native to Maine. With ten unique garden areas and a woodland trail network, visitors can explore plant communities from various Maine habitats, such as shorelines, mountaintops, forests, wetlands, pond edges, woodland borders, and disturbed areas. As visitors explore both the thoughtfully curated gardens and the minimally managed natural spaces, they'll discover plenty of inspiration for their gardens at home.
